Dear Prudence by The Beatles from the album: White Album

The Beatles - Dear Prudence

My parents never played children music when I was young..  My father was a musician and so we always had rock and roll playing. Our house was filled with instruments (Sadly, i never learned how to play any of them really well). When I was about 4 or 5, my dad had this party trick, he would convince the guests to pick any album and put on any song. Once they made their choice and the song was playing he would call for me to join him in the den. There he would ask me what was playing and I was able to name the artist, the album and the song. It was cute. My parents loved the fact that I loved music.. Not many 6 years old’s in the 80’s were playing air bands to Janis Joplin’s Piece of my Heart while standing on the bathroom counter in front of the bathroom mirror. (if only You tube existed then) But out of all the artist and records my parents had.. The White Album was one of my favorite albums. I love this album so much.. I had named all my dolls Prudence because of this song.

Also, when I was in high school and started playing in bands, the first song I played in front of an audience (at a variety show) was Come Together.
